Dr. Shannon Granger is a dual Board Certified Pediatric Anesthesiologist with extensive experience in caring for both pediatric and adult patients. Her educational journey began at UCSD, where she balanced her studies with playing soccer for the Women's team, displaying her dedication and commitment to maintaining the GPA required for medical school entrance. She then attended A.T. Still University for medical school, graduating with honors. Dr. Granger completed her medical residency at Riverside County Regional Medical Center, where she excelled in providing compassionate patient care, earning her the role of Chief Resident during her final year, a testament to her clinical acumen and interpersonal skills. Following her graduation, Dr. Granger was chosen to join one of the nation's premier pediatric anesthesia fellowships at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, bypassing the typical matching process. During her year in Cincinnati, her sole focus was providing care to pediatric patients, including those in need of pediatric dentistry procedures.
After completing her fellowship, Dr. Granger secured a position at Valley Children's Medical Center, known for its exceptional care dedicated to the well-being of children in the Valley. During her position there, she administered thousands of anesthetics, including numerous dental cases. In recent years, Dr. Granger relocated to San Diego to be closer to her family. She has been practicing at Palomar Medical Center while also commuting to Valley Children's Hospital to continue her dedicated care for pediatric patients. Dr. Granger is passionate about providing high-quality anesthesia to both children and adults in need of dental procedures.
In her leisure time, Dr. Granger cherishes moments with her family, being a mother to three children aged 11, 9, and 6. Her love for the outdoors is evident through her interests in activities like running, surfing, and hiking.
